Dr. Ahmad Hassan is an HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor, computer science educator, and researcher currently serving on the faculty at the Department of Computer Science, University of the Punjab. He completed his Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Computer Sciences at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, after earning his Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Central Punjab. He specializes in Machine Learning, Data Science, and Bioinformatics. His published research focuses on applying computational models and machine learning techniques to complex biological problems. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals, including IEEE Access, Scientific Reports, Diagnostics, and the Journal of Theoretical Biology. In his current academic role, he teaches courses in Operating Systems, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Bioinformatics while supervising post-graduate thesis research. Bridging industry and academia, Dr. Hassan previously worked as a Software Engineer in the Software Industry. Prior to focusing fully on academia, gained hands-on software engineering experience in the tech sector. He worked as a Software Engineer, building system and web applications using C++, Java, PHP, and SQL within Agile environments. To continuously refine his instructional methods, he regularly participates in professional development programs, workshops and effective thesis supervision.
